There’s a lot to being a master breeder. You must be well liked and Highly respected, have a good reputation, and have the knowledge and experience to create a high-quality strain, and improve that strain each breeding season. You must also be a leader and giver of your time. But most of all, a Master Breeders must be willing to teach what he knows and pass that knowledge and experience to the next generation.
This describes John Anthony Marks exactly. He meets all these criteria’s by producing very informative video tutorials and providing high-quality fowl.
John has bred his Mark’s Mugs for 18 years, and they are impressive.

We talk about 3 subjects that I know you will find interesting and useful:
- False gold – not everything is gold
- The consequences of breeding to substandard birds
- The need to start with experimental fowl before buying expensive fowl. This third topic is especially interesting. The idea that many beginner breeders are not ready to purchase and breed expensive fowl.
- Many spend a lot of money buying fowl and don’t know how to breed them.
- They should start with less expensive fowl until they get some knowledge and experience.
- They can learn a lot from these experimental fowl – Make your mistakes on these fowl
