In this episode of Bred to Perfection, we are talking with Dr. Gallardo about Salmonella. Most of the diseases we have covered so far, only affect chickens, but salmonella is different. In fact, it’s a serious problem, not only for chickens, but also for those who raise chickens.
Even if the chickens look fine, they have the potential to make us very sick. Where you get your chickens and what your chickens are exposed to, is a huge factor. I don’t realize how prevalent salmonella actually is. We are going to talk about the causes and symptoms of this disease, and how to prevent exposure.
There’s a lot of great nuggets of information that I know you will not want to miss.
